Judging by what happened last time the people spoke, we should see about 80% of the voters saying "hell yah" to this one.

man, Ruggie(and, don't get me wrong, I don't see anything unreasonable about the entire bill), I can't help but wonder what happens when this part gets taken before a Federal Court, especially in the District that covers you all:

requiring police to make a 'reasonable attempt' to determine the immigration status of anyone they contact officially if there is 'reasonable suspicion' they are an illegal immigrant,

hoo,boy! That isn't going to end well.....

FAIL, not everyone has a drivers lic. my 75 year old mother-in-law, born and raised in this country does not have one

FAIL, as much as I hate the ACLU it wont stop them from clogging the court system until hell freezes over. and I guarantee that since AZ is subject to the 9th circuit ct (if memory serves) that those Liberal fags up in San Fran will declare this unconstitutional.

What is very apparent here? Everyone should be for this the law is the law, if found to be there illegally they should be hit with a 5000,000 fine suspended as long as they dont set foot in the US again i they do bang pay up or be locked up.

paving the way for law enforcement to conduct 'sting' operations to find companies knowingly hiring undocumented workers,

Good and make these companys pay thru the nose to boot, because i guarantee that no savings are being passed on the consumer greedy sob's.

Im kind of envious you have pollies even thinking like that over here the end up getting in then short queued for public housing and benefits more than someone who has payed into the system for 40 years

Incorrect. They may have an accent that's hard to understand but they do speak english.

States rights supercede Federal Law. Of course anything can happen but another bill will show up that will be worded different.

I'm psyched about busting employers who hire illegals. Evens the playing field for people like me who refuse to hire or use illegals in any capacity. I've stopped going to several restaurants cuz I was able to take a quick peek into the kitchen.

Put a "bounty" on the illegals....like we used to do and have started again, with coyotes an other critters....something like this:

You have no idea how many people over here are just in for the ride, they will not adapt nor integrate ( is not that they don't know to speak English, they plainly refuse to, and in the process they force everybody to have to learn their dialects)

Also it would help to have some sort of Ellis island system installed again, with obligatory learning of English, compulsory registration, and issue of documents and names. The Israelis do it, they have special channels and schools to receive immigrants from all over the world, they even teach them how to use soap, shampoo, tooth paste and how to behave socially, and it works perfectly.
