Mexican Man Pleads Not Guilty in Murder of Border Patrol

Post by Pudfark »

SAN DIEGO — A Mexican man accused of killing a Border Patrol agent by running him over with a drug-loaded Hummer has pleaded not guilty in San Diego.

Jesus Navarro Montes was arraigned Friday afternoon in federal court on charges of second-degree murder, possession of marijuana and conspiracy. He was ordered held without bail and could face 40 years in prison if convicted.

Prosecutors say Navarro intentionally struck 32-year-old Luis Aguilar in January 2008 at the Imperial Sand Dunes Recreation Area.

Authorities say the Border Patrol was chasing Navarro's marijuana-filled Hummer and the agent was killed as he lay down a spike strip to stop him.

Navarro fled to Mexico and was extradited last month.

Three months before the killing, prosecutors say, Navarro was detained but escaped in a Border Patrol vehicle.

Well Slick....How's this go with the statement you made, a few days earlier.....about marijuana smuggling not being dangerous to folks in the U.S. ????
Maybe your B.S. will make the slain officers family feel better...ya know with your usual worldly explanation....maybe Soapy will blow a few bubbles in there too....

There were two cops killed here a few years ago within a few months of each other. Both killed by illegals. Said illegals fled to Mexico and Mexico refuses to extradite cuz AZ has the death penalty. Which just so happened to be the same type of penalty both illegals forced upon the cops.......

Hmmm,Slick..... no remark or excuses yet....I sorta expected something along the lines of...."Well, that Border guy got whut he deserved...ya know, with NAFTA and all....he shouldn't be interfering with the importation of goods from a poor down trodden country...that we have a treaty with.....an besides that, the Hummer was green...it was full of enviornmentally safe grass, that would have stimulated the American economy...and promoted international harmony......and you can't prove otherwise, show me your facts.....and besides all that, I'm right, an you ain't nuthing but a booger flickin, illiterate retard what don't know nuthin bout nuthin....cuz, everbodie knows ya can't get elected with out unnerstanin this international incident.....ad nauseam.........................that is what I would have expected...from Slick and a few others....

Pudfark(and I single you out, because I THINK Ruggie got my point, eventually):
I stated that the weed smugglers may be a threat to law enforcement, but aren't as prone to the wholesale
massacres and other violent stuff that the harder drug traffickers bring along with them. The money just isn't as good, and thus, the desperation for market share doesn't warrant the violence. Anyone, smuggling
anything(drugs, cars, jewels, metals, people) will kill law enforcement is the timing of the encounter is bad.

So you're wrong..............again. You need to watch Nat Geo Explorer, they have a show on native americans who track for the border patrol. Also, Border Wars is a series and straight from the horses mouth (agents) they tell you that illegals carrying bundles of weed more often than not are accompanied by armed cartel members. The only time the Border Patrol doesn't get shot at is when they have the upper hand. Two episodes ago one agent got the largest heroin bust ever for that particular border crossing. No shots were fired. So your theory doesn't quite pan out. Especially when you figure in that often times ICE agents are being shot at from across the border because of the uniform they wear. Times are different now than what you and I used to think, it's a violent new world on the border and it's a war.

good God, have you lost your reading glasses? You have yet to cite one example of a weed smuggling gang involved in wholesale murder, or violence against anyone outside Law Enforcement. And, that was my only point.
