It is, and he apparently did. This reminds me of an old Lombardi episode. Some Packers player was whining about something to Vince in the office. Vince excused himself briefly, returned to the office and informed the player, "problem solved, you were just traded to the Browns" or something like that. Going to the Jets at 1-6 is close to being sent to prison, with one more loss in the last 9 games keeping them out of playoff contention.
