....since I pointed out how completely, profoundly the Redskins suck. As a complete entity. How they could turn this year into SUCH a disaster(didn't see them as Super Bowl bound, but competetive with the NFC East, and not given to public humiliation) is astounding.

Re: It's been too long, Res
that's loyalty, dude......because that team blows, has blown for a decade or more, and I see utterly nothing out of the organization at ANY level that doesn't suggest that the team will not blow for the forseeable future. Tragic. Sammy Baugh, the Hogs and a host of other oldtimers must really suffer watch that team now.
Seriously, it is this sort of whole team meltdown that got me looking at other teams when I moved away from the Philly market to college. The Eagles, in the Marion Campbell/Leonard Tose gambling money away period were depressing to ponder. The Pats at least seemed FUN. Nothing about the Skins right now ought to be any fun for anyone.

You wanna buy a hardhat?callmeslick wrote:you're going to like DeSean just fine.....never saw a real issue in Philly, frankly, and he and RGIII are MADE for each other. Think about it, Res...you can now reliably go vertical with more than one actual threat, opening the field for short dumps and RGIII on foot.

Re: It's been too long, Res
that's what is shocking, Res. If you watched their preseason(we get it all down this way), they had that look about them. Not world beaters, but as good as the rest of a decent but not scary division(except for the Giants). Sure, there were a couple injuries, but that whole team just took the mantle of 'Losers' and ran with it, early in the season at that. Then, you step back and look: Ownership has been clueless from day one. Coaching staff has clearly no control over the team, hell, they cannot even control messaging out to the press. Players have truly proven gutless, almost to a man.
No, I'll pass on a helmet, Res. I just feel for you watching this year after year. At least, the Eagles are in the hunt. Still not in the elite circle yet. Then, you have my Pats, who remain the gift that is constant.

Re: It's been too long, Res
hope the grandkids enjoy it, and I wonder what the team name will be then? I figure the window for a Washington Team named the Redskins to win, or to even exist, is very limited.Reservoir_Dog wrote:It'll just make that next Super Bowl all the more sweeter!callmeslick wrote:I just feel for you watching this year after year.
