What I wrote about over the years....is slowly taking place.
It may be a little slower paced than I like....what's funny? It's faster than you can keep up with.

I don't recall you mentioning the disintegration of the Republican party before. Can you point me to where you did, because that is what you're seeing play out.Pudfark wrote:What I wrote about over the years....is slowly taking place.
I assume you are fine with Boehner for another year or so, because that is what you have. If he actually departed on schedule, Pelosi would win the speakership. I disagree with Res....the 'best guy' didn't bow out this morning. The ONLY guy who could POSSIBLY pull 218 votes out of the GOP caucus is Paul Ryan, who has already ruled out the Speakership(and repeated that this afternoon).

Re: dysfunction junction
Pud thinks this is evidence of minor weeding out of RINOs. He is wrong. As Kasich noted, he was talking the other day to a couple of old time Republcans(conservatives through and through), one of whom was Majority Leader of the Senate for a few years. They all looked at one another and asked, when did WE become 'Republican in Name Only'? These guys fully intend to hold onto their party. As one GOP Congressman put it yesterday, "these guys have to understand that in Congress you either cooperate with your fellow party members or go leave and form your own party". This bloodbath isn't over, but Pud, your grasp of it is WAY off. The end of it could be the end of the GOP as a functional second party, leaving the Dems and two little useless parties, incapable of ever controlling anything for a decade or more.

That does give me a tickle....RINO's and Dim's with their panties in a wad.
"oh mercy....save the GOP"
It's funny to me...that you feel you have to save the GOP, in order to save yerselves....it's a tell...
