a group of adults went onto a stage and discussed real issues, real proposals for solutions and changes of direction. Meanwhile as if to help the Dems highlight the intellectual contrast, Mike Huckabee wants to talk about Koreans eating dogs:

right wingers, take note. No matter what the viewership or ratings, the social media says quite clearly that Americans of all political stripes saw clearly the contrast between adults and juveniles. Guess which people tend to choose in the voting booth when the chips are down.
Now, as for my judgements on performance:
1. Clinton--made a fair comeback from a rough start. Anderson Cooper hit her with a nasty first question. Overall, she came off as intelligent, but still can't address that image of flip-flopping and poor judgement on things.
2. Sanders--did well, and showed, with his answers on gun matters, the view of compromise and awareness of cultural differences which make those issues difficult. Showed himself determined to be a uniting leader.....unless you are really rich.
3. Webb--succeeded at bringing a different perspective to the talks, but is painting himself into far too hawkish a position for either the Dems or the nation as a whole. Today, seems to be whining about inadequate face-time,but didn't wow me with what he did with the time he did get.
4. O Malley--got his name into the mix. What progress he made beyond that is dubious.
5. Chafee-- why he thinks he should be running eludes me. Seems a pleasant fellow, for a Rhode Islander......
I note they didn't even invite the other two in the race. I was sort of surprised that the one guy who got a gofundme pile of cash to enter didn't make the field onstage. Maybe he had plans for the evening.
