Donald Trump inherited a lot of money and the growth of his wealth has been in line with that of the S&P 500. Donald Trump's self-described net worth was $200 million in 1982. If he invested that money in the S&P 500, he'd be worth about $8.3 billion today. Today he claims his net worth is $8.7 billion.

I dare say my charitable contributions as a percentage of net worth are greater than the Donalds. The same can be said of a lot of plain folks who give generously to their churches. Color me unimpressed. Donald has done NOTHING that I can see, for his country or for anyone save the Donald. Military service? Nope. Public work, a la Jimmy Carter? Again, no. World health problems like the Clintons and Gates charities assist? Once again no. Where you could come up with 'investing' in the nation shows either a blatant ignorance or your part, or a flagrant avoidance of reality.
