what's your point? The mayor is no 'liberal', sounds more like a control freak(plenty of conservatives who are control freaks), and the
directive to 'write more tickets', while most of us suspect that is how it works, is just plain wrong. Good for the cops, bad for the general
public unless the country force can step up.

There's a lot there to be reckoned with....?
No local cops, no local (city) laws/ordinances can be enforced, no revenue and most of all, no decent response time.
No accountability by the mayor for law enforcement and increased cost to citizens. That's just fer starters.

What's really laughable is the precedent set for cops everywhere. Show up, do nothing, drag ass, write a report, collect check and go home. Repeat daily. You can't be fired, no one to replace you, you're just a number and you don't count. Path to pension = smile a lot, make a bunch of reports and maintain a positive enthusiastic do-nuthin attitude. Spend the rest of yer life laughing at the idiots who made it possible/doable.
