House Democrats Introduce National Gun Buybacks

This week, U.S. Rep. Donald Payne Jr. (D-NJ)13%
(D-NJ-10) introduced national gun buybacks with a program called the Safe Neighborhoods Gun Buyback Act.

Payne’s legislation has 22 Democrat co-sponsors and requests $360 million in gun buybacks funding.

According to The Hill, Payne’s bill would require gun owners to “turn over their firearms to state and local governments as well as certain gun dealers,” who would then turn the weapons over to the Department of Justice for destruction. The DOJ would “pay gun owners a premium of 25 percent more than the market value of their firearms.”

Gun owners who turned over their weapons would receive a debit card that could be used for anything other than “more guns and ammunition.”

Australian-style gun confiscation was based on mandatory buybacks that resulted in the destruction of all weapons collected.

I think a College Degree buyback would be better for the economy. The people could sell something worthless and get something in return; what with all the outsourcing and H1Bs.

still celebrating ignorance, Pud? Just watch the rest of the world pass anyone by without specialized skills and rigorous academic training. That is NOT the same as any old college degree, but higher ed is becoming more critical by the day, and will be essential for any monetary success in a generation or two, save a very limited number of manual labor jobs with speciality skills.

Well Slick...when you're 50 grand in debt...living in yer parents basement and yer Mom has to lie to the bill collectors because of that worthless piece of paper hanging on the hall wall...a lot of you lib's are gonna sell....and get the hell out. It's a well known fact....y'all do anything for a buck.
And...it's funny to those...who chose...not to have some libtard...blow hot air.....up our hiney holes, put us hopelessly in debt and then give our potential jobs away to foreigners.
