Folks are damn mad. I see it as Trump or a civil war brewing. Then again, you may be just as 'right' as them folks in 1859-1860...

as folks found out in 1860-65, you don't win a Civil War with less than 10% of the populace and the economic power involved. And, no, I'm NOT reading Tea Leaves, I am basing it on 45 years of watching politics. I'm aware that methods change, trends come and go, but certain things are constant. One of those is that you can't win an election if 60% of the electorate views you as a joke.
