History has never recorded a long term 'successful' socialist venture.
Why?
It is a scam and a fraud presented as a solution for weak human behavior/foibles.

The real solution is the right of self determination and a fair and honest process to chart the course.
This process has and is now being undermined by the 'auto update' Socialists hiding in the Democrat party.

Of course, socialism wasn't even invented until the 1880s, and is still actively being evolved. Democratic Socialism is such an evolution and has been taking over the planet in terms of the most successful modern nations. Secondly, what does longevity prove? sorry, but in a densely populated, modern, largely urban and pluralistic society, with high mobility and hence far less family geographic continuity, self-determination does not trump other rights, such as access to healthcare, education, nor does it overrule restraint in the interest of maintaining a stable SOCIETY. In shorter term, society trumps the self at times, or you have utter chaos.

Those are the reasons a 'uncivil war' is coming. Unless, you want to childishly believe...folks now are completely different than folks then (1776 and 1860). Thanks for making my point, those folks 'then' didn't give up and fold, they fought. Folks will fight again, if ballots and an honest process, can't be 'counted' on. Funniest thing to me? Is that the very folks you depend upon to fight for you? You disparage. That dictates a short fight.

I for one, am enjoying the fact that DH is posting. Sitting back and reading some intelligent discourse in CWoS once again is quite refreshing.
It's far, far better than reading the pig slop that Pud and Slappy toss into the trough every day.
