Myrtle Beach, S.C., knows the falling loonie means you won't be coming to the States, and the city wants to change that.

To entice Canadians to the area, hotels, attractions, and restaurants are offering deep discounts to Canadians until April 30, all valid with Canadian ID.

The discounts are meant to "at least cover the difference" of the dollar conversion from Canadian to U.S. currency.

Suncor Q4 Earnings Show $2-Billion Loss In 3 Months
CALGARY — Suncor Energy, Canada's biggest oilsands player, has posted a net loss of $2 billion for the final three months of 2015 as it was walloped by the steep drop in crude prices.

In addition to the oil price collapse, Suncor's bottom line was dragged down by nearly $1.6 billion in impairment charges and a $382 million foreign exchange loss related to its U.S. dollar-denominated debt.

A year earlier, it posted a net profit of $84 million.

So Pud ... how do you explain that back in 2011 and 2012 the Canadian dollar was worth MORE than the American dollar?
