I sometimes fly in this area, usually in a rag and tube microlight that does 90 knots pretty much flat out, I always try and stay above 2000ft for obvious reasons, but when cloud base forces me down below 1000ft I get very very jittery, its ok on weekends though.

It's a lovely area though and the coast going south between Caernarfon and Aberystwyth can be stunning, further North and you hit the Northern half of England which is allways dull, miserable and has far too many English people in it.
