Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is maintaining his lead in the L.A. Times daily tracking poll, now sitting at an even 47 percent. His opponent Hillary Clinton has 42.4 percent.

overall average looks to be about a 4-5% swing up for Clinton. Part of it shows Trump starting to actually erode.

read the part about the professionals' private polling. It's worse, far worse than the public polling and is described(in terms of rejection of Trump by Independant voters) as 'entering uncharted territory'
