A Complete Waste of Space

(June 23) -- The Mexican government has thrust itself into the legal battle against Arizona's controversial immigration law, joining U.S. advocacy groups in federal court to argue that the measure is unconstitutional and violates the basic rights of Mexican citizens.

"Mexico has a duty to protect its citizens and ensure that ethnicity is not used as criteria for discriminatory acts," the court document states. Mexico argues that the Arizona law threatens "the human and civil rights of its citizens when they are present in Arizona."

that may actually be the best thing to do, it eliminates loose ends in one fell swoop, and instead of dealing with a huge backlog of cases, you can now begin fresh, with new legislation in place to go after it with gusto

plus it will make all the criminal elements subject to US law, as they are "citizens"..no more tossing them back to Mexico to return a few hours later, instead they do not pass go and collect 200$, they go to go to jail (good time to reform various state and federal penal codes too, perhaps re-introduce (as some have already) a form of chain gang, or otherwise, some kind of deal where inmates HAVE to work as directed...gulag without the starvation, disease, privation...

You have lost your mind....Who is going to enforce this "new" legislation? Obama? How will it "cure" the problem of continued illegal immigration? Here is some simple legislation for ya....Treat them like the criminals they are....arrest them, deport them and confiscate all property and assets...no hearing, no nothing...just the boot....and a little " Y'all come back now, heah " If they should return? Tatoo or Brand them, take their shit and deport them....Third offense shoot'em.

not this one, Fatman......the Constitution is very clear about some rights. They are available to anyone on our soil, resident, citizen or not. Sorry if some don't like it, but them's the rules.

That may work well in the communist country you come from, but we have a congress and senate here for a reason.
