My combined Federal and Provincial tax rate this year will be 33% and I'll get a sizable chunk of that back come April.
That's pretty fucking good considering I have free health care!

ok, let's hear YOUR totals?
I pay 18% of my annual income for healthcare costs, 8% for Federal Taxes and 6% for state taxes. That's 32% and Res may have better health coverage than us, for all I know.
What are YOU paying, Pud?

Yeah. Really.
And it's fucking AWESOME !!!!!!!!!
I can walk into any hospital in Canada and get treated for any ailment known to mankind no matter what it takes or how long it takes. And at no point will any hospital EVER ask me for any money. EVER!
some people both do not apparently understand the immutable rule, "You Get what you Pay For" or that the US is getting hosed by the insurance companies. Fixing the US by making cut-rate policies available, and bumping the cost on older or sicker people is a recipe for a social disaster and major back-end expenditures by the taxpayers.

Here's what is 'free'...."The last CTFPHC guidelines on prostate cancer screening were published in 1994. At that time, the CTFPHC concluded that there was insufficient evidence to include PSA screening in the periodic health examination of men over 50 years of age. Since that time, at least two large randomized trials have been published that have formed the basis of updated screening guidelines in Canada and the United States."
