Amen to that.

I have the displeasure of knowing a middle school drop-out in our neighbourhood. Any argument with them is exceedingly tedious  not surprisingly.

Arrogance and ignorance can be a deadly combination :(

That is a grand gesture from that gentleman.

When did Colorado become a part of Texas?

Try reading the article again, appears "Arrogance and ignorance" is alive and well at slick's house this morning.

I wasn't referring to the 92 year old veteran as being from Texas, Wullie, if that counts as a clue for ya....

I can tell the difference between a clue and cheap shot.

Slick...are you trying to point out that your "education" is honorary? Is that like your "service" to your country? That 92 year old honorable individual had many years to earn his education...he didn't. He waited for fools like you to give him something that he did not earn. That is the fundamental problem in this country, caused be you and yours..... He should have been given what he earned, a reasonable stipend and reasonable care from the V.A.

Arrogance in this instance, is the presentation of this kind of shit, thinking that the warm fuzzy feeling that it will create, will out weigh the value of an earned degree and the value of personal accomplishment....

Ignorance is the reward for folks "gifted" with degrees and titles.....

Old Pudfark sez: " A fools reward.....something for nothing.."

guess he was too busy helping to keep food in his family's mouth..until he fought for his country..then i imagine another 40 years of working to give his family all the chances they could get, contributing his part back to the country...selfish bastard! no reason to not go to school

cuz lawd only knows, only 80 years of life experience after leaving school means NOTHING, right? and theres NO way he could have learned "book smarts" on his own, without even trying, over that time?

maybe your right, he waited for it...he used 60 years to concoct this scheme to secure a HSD

perhaps some ppl massively struggled through high school, and feel ripped off when someone comes along and gets a HSD without lifting a finger, while they had to strain their brain to understand each word or concept...so now they are pissed and feel indignant...
