Health Insurers Plan Rate Hikes for Obamacare Exchanges

Several health insurers will raise premiums by roughly 20 percent on plans sold through Obamacare exchanges.
The biggest Obamacare rate hikes will take place in Delaware, Virginia, and Maryland, which will ask for premiums on average higher than 30 percent in 2018. In Maryland, the average premium from CareFirst will rise by at least 50 percent. Oregon, North Carolina, and Maine health insurers will raise premiums by 20 percent or higher.

no, I am fine. You see, Pud, I'm with a concierge(private) practice. So I pay around 10 grand EXTRA OVER INSURANCE for that coverage. It isn't about me, it never has been about me, it's about the GOP giving guys like me more money so they can rape Medicaid and Medicare to give me more money.

I pay extra to make it work better. I'd LOVE to see the entire public get that level of coverage, but they don't, and have NEVER had it. Not in my lifetime. No, we make medicine a cost center. Even under a cradle to grave medicare plan, which is what the nation really should have, you buy various levels of co-insurance. I pay a premium to be part of a practice limited to 500 patients, and an extended specialist network that provides coverage no matter where in the USA I am, with a personal doctor. You just amuse me with the bizarre notion that this whole reality STARTED with Obama, or the ACA. No, the ACA just tried to keep the quality level guaranteed, and access to insurance guaranteed. All they promised, and have delivered, to all measurable reporting, is that they'd keep some restraint on premiums rising. In the ten years before the ACA, some folks saw 1000% increases, and more, to group rates. This is all a problem because of HOW the US goes about handling medicine. The rest of the world has it right, we're as fucked up as a soup sandwich. If you can't get past Obama hate, you are never going to help vote for the real fix.

more bullshit. I posted countless testimonials, and moreover, the Repubs are getting FLOODED with them. Quit lying, you don't make your point that way. Bottom line is that working people right above the poverty line are making out FAR better under the ACA. Note that 8 governors, half of them Republicans, are begging the Congress not to fuck with expanded Medicaid for just that reason.

why should we bitch?We're paying the bill but can afford it. IMHO, we can afford to do a LOT more for the poor, but getting the GOP to grasp that seems to be a challenge.
