Majority of Americans want it.

Nevada wants it, and they have tons of unions, casinos and Brown Horde™ working in them.

Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,
With conquering limbs astride from land to land;
Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand
A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame
Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name
Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand
Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command
The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.
“Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!” cries she
With silent lips. “Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”

I read this sonnet someplace..........

That's all fine and dandy, but the illegals and the crime along with them also spawned a million dollar bounty on our Sheriff's head. Sorry Slick, no way you can defend that.

actually, I not only wouldn't defend it, I would say it is justification to hunt down and kill the perpetrators.
But, once again, you prove very well that the problem isn't immigration. The people putting out that bounty aren't immigrants, have no intention of immigrating here(they keep their money and spend it in Mexico) and to claim otherwise once again exposes you as either naive or a flat-out liar.

two quick questions for you, Ruggie(once again, no setups, just seeking answers from a native):

1. When Sheriff Joe got elected, what were the serious crime issues in Phoenix?

2. How does the level of crime today compare to when he first got into office?

I ask because I wonder whether his approach really solves anything, or merely looks good on paper and doesn't really address the more dangerous threats to the city/region.

Well, Slick........issuing more parking tickets is not going to solve the problem.... Common sense, would suggest the problems are the same, only increased by illegal immigration and the financial drain that it imposes on the community. Do you need the "financial drain" spelled out?

Old Pudfark sez: " Felony Crime is up for sure.... "

your missing the point slick. We IE: "MOST" people are not against Immigration. we are against ILLEGAL immigration. and if you look at a map of the Statue of Liberty. what is it that sits right next door?? Ellis Island, the place where people came to this country LEGALLY, do you think there might be a correlation?

the question was specifically asked of Ruggie. I don't need to know what some moron in Texas thinks. If I change my mind, I'll ask you.
