DH, when you read a post like the one HappyHappy wrote, above, does it make you(as somewhat conservative) wince for all conservatives?

I see the lunatic fringe as necessary to keep the rest of us grounded in reality, although these days it seems like they are growing to the point it is becoming harder to marginalize them.

I couldn't agree with you more. "Opinion" has become "news". And a certain sector of people don't understand the difference between opinion and news.

They hear what they want to hear ... and nothing else.
(Slappy is a perfect example of this)
