I love how Pud embraces Clinton's words.......translated: we currently collect 23% of
corporate profits, and we should collect 25%. OK, I think that is a bit high, myself, as I focus
more on the ridiculously low personal income tax rates for the well-off, but if you say so, Pud....

Now..Now...Slick.....there is "embracing"?
As in feeling the love......
And there is "quoting"...?
As in the above......
Very interesting to me.....
What you "chose" to ignore....
Hard to tell?
If that was an "embrace"?
or a "reach around"....

change the tax code so I pay more than 14% of gross on a quarter-million income and you're good to go.
I won't complain, as I know it goes(at least 85% of it, at least) for programs our nation truly needs and that my fellow Americans want.

There is the age old lie too that need to be considered, of the "self made man".
Not many of them exist apart from in their own minds and auto biographies. Businessmen make money by outsmarting other similar types, and/or convincing the rest of us that we need their products. They are rarely self made, usually supported by some "mentor" types and tend to succeed at the detriment of some other dude.
Majority of times these types make it because they were there at the right time, not because they were brilliant. But looking back they see it all as a pinnacle of their own work ( whilst ignoring anyone else's input that actually got them there in the first place).
History is written by the Victors, How to succeed in business books are never written by the losers and the workers.
My point is for Man A. to succeed, Man B and Man C might have to give him a leg up and the rest of us are just there to buy his stuff to make him even more of a success.

Rep. Tim Scott Floats Impeachment If Obama Invokes 14th Amendment On Debt Limit
" While some have asserted that the debt limit might be unconstitutional under the 14th Amendment, and therefore President Obama does not need congressional approval to raise it, Republicans have been quick to express skepticism over the idea. On Tuesday, a Republican congressman went a step further, saying that if Obama were to use that argument to bypass Congress on the issue, it would be an impeachable offense.
"This president is looking to usurp congressional oversight to find a way to get it done without us. My position is that is an impeachable act from my perspective," said Rep. Tim Scott (R-S.C.) at a meeting sponsored by the Tea Party group LowCountry 9.12 Project on Tuesday, first reported by Lindsay Street on Summerville Patch.
His comments were met with enthusiastic applause."

great, threaten impeachment if the Constitution gets in the way of your plans. Isn't that the amendment that authorizes him to pay all debts and obligations?

The 14th is the equal protection clause. so I'm having a hard time understanding what it has to do with this issue. so correct me if I'm missing something

If that's the case?
What do we need with the congress, senate or supreme court?
Why should we vote?
